An Bold Attempt To Cultivate Talents For Education Discipline In The Early Years Of Reform And Opening-up

In the early years of reform and opening-up,to meet the development trend of world education discipline,and meet the urgent demand for young talents of education discipline of East China Normal University,as well as to meet the need for education discipline development and construction.Liu Fonian,as the president of East China Normal University,he was bold to break through the traditional education disciplines talents training mode,selecting excellent students who were interested in a career in science education,from junior university students of nine departments,and formed the Professional Class of Educational Science,which started on October 29,1980.The second phase of the class started in 1984.The two classes enrolled 34 students respectively.Liu Fonian constructed the curriculum system of forward-looking,equipped with a high level of teaching staff.The teachers taught expertise and the latest research results for the students.To promote the learning interest of students,Liu Fonian arranged topic discussion activities.In addition,he also arranged education practice to improve the education practice ability of students.Before graduation,the teacher in charge of the class develop research direction for the students based on the characteristics of students.Most of graduates were engaged in the education of research.The bold attempt of education discipline talents training,has cultivated a large number of excellent talents who are engaged in the education of teaching,research and management.The study aims at exploring the Professional Class of Educational Science of the East China Normal University.The study will explore the cause of the class,discuss its implementation,explore the effect of the class,analyze the reasons for success and then summarize experience,to make valuable suggestions for the cultivation of pedagogy postgraduates in future.
