Nowadays, under the background of political multi-polarity and economic globalization, we meet many challenges in citizens’ moral education in China. How to improve the citizens’ morality in China demands some instructions from a moral thinking. Confucius’ thinking acts as an unshakable position in the Chinese academic and educational circles. Confucius’ moral education thinking is the spirit of the Chinese traditional cultures, which stands for our nation and pride. Confucius’ moral education thinking affects the whole society as well as modern education, even the whole world in some ways, giving us much inspiration.Started with the theoretical origin of Confucius’ moral education thinking, the article attempts to summarize the key thoughts that Confucius’ moral education thinking runs after, that is the goals of “the personality of noblemen and the personality of saints and the main content made up of benevolent, politeness, loyalty and politeness. What is more, based on the basic moral education principles of Confucius---- Education without Class Distinction, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, teach others by your example, the Elicitation Method of Teaching, learn from the instructive teachers and the related education means of Benevolence Depending on Oneself, self-examination and self-expression, judge others’ feeling by one’s own, which helps us to have a deep thinking for our citizens’ moral education theory.Based on the positive thinking of Confucius’ moral education thinking, we draw a conclusion that in the contemporary ideological and political education, Confucius’ moral education thinking is still of high value. His thinking is a perfect textbook, such as putting virtue in the fist place, the personality of noblemen, love and harmony. His patriotic ideas, structural integrity and stylistic vigor and unremitting spirit all show our national spirits. Over thousands of years in the history of China, Confucius’ moral education thinking has formed a comparative complete theory system, which is worth learning from and taking advantage of during the period of moral education turn. The negative thinking for Confucius’ moral education thinking has a strong class nature. Therefore, we must select the refined and discard the crude, make the past serve the present, remove the old and create the new. During the process of reference and revelation enlightenment, we attempt to realize the turn from Confucius’ moral education thinking to modern education thinking.
