In the context of the new curriculum reform, in March 2003 the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Geography Curriculum Standards (experimental) of Ordinary High School". Geography, as an important discipline, has taking an important role of teaching basic geography knowledge, cultivating basic geography skills, and developing civil essential geographic literacy responsibilities. The core aspects of geographical curriculum reform are curriculum implementation whose basic way is teaching. Effective teaching of geography, as an important requirement of geographical curriculum standards, has been the pursuing goal of teaching of geography teacher. "Earth's movement" is a basic knowledge of high school geography. The "global movement" is still difficult for teachers to teach and students to learn currently, teachers and students put a lot of time and effort, but the result of students'learning is bad. Therefore, the discussion of effective teaching of "earth movement" is necessary and urgent. This paper is a research of effective teaching on "earth movement" from a teacher's perspective, which mainly adopts literature analysis, interviews, case studies, empirical research method, etc, and is a discussion about the methods and strategies of effective learning of "Earth Movement" under the guidance of the concept of effective teaching and the new geography curriculum reform, combined author's teaching practice.Through the method of literature analysis, we can understand the current status of the Earth's motion studies of effective teaching, research direction and determine the specific significance, methods and ideas; we can summarize the concept of "earth movement" of effective teaching on the basis of the concept and the theoretical meaning of effective teaching, and the content analysis of the textbook of "Earth movement"; through the interview method and interviewing the teachers on the front, we can know the current situations and problems of "Earth movement" effective teaching; and finally can develop the "global movement" effective teaching strategies.In the first we should briefly analyze the curriculum standards, teaching objectives, the important and difficult points in teaching and the learning situation of the lesson of "movement of the earth", and then select the appropriate knowledge to give a specific teaching cases and teaching methods,finally,we can test that effective teaching strategies can have positive influence on students' knowledge and skills, processes and methods, attitudes and values through teaching experiment.
