Topographic maps are highlights throughout the secondary school, as well as a difficulty.Topographic map of learning, students with high ability of spatial linkage and spatial visualization ability, lack of junior high school students understand the concept of space, stereo, and lack of experience in the field, let them in on a topographic map of implementation plans and dimensional transformation between things is very difficult. Therefore, only to find out in the process of students learning maps knowledge of problems and needs to have when learning ability, was able to provide a reasonable strategy. This research to junior high school students topographic maps read figure capacity of training for point, close combined junior high school geographic textbook and teaching practice, to junior high school students for survey object, junior high school geographic teachers for interview object, based on survey questionnaire, and interview outline and related volume table, through questionnaire survey and interview, on collection data for statistics processing, analysis junior high school students topographic maps learning of status and exists problem, and proposed junior high school students topographic maps read figure capacity training of strategy:Optimizing geographical teaching methods and rich geography classroom content policies;Improving students'self-learning ability of topographic map;Improve the teaching environment of topographic maps and so on.Finally, experiment, test the scale, based on a statistical analysis of relevant data, empirical rationality of topographic map reading ability of middle school students and its effectiveness.
