Research On Relationships Of High School Students' Parenting Style,Self-efficacy And Hope

Hope,as one of the core concept in positive psychology,is more and more concerned by psychologists and educators.Throughout the study at home and abroad,it can be found the study of hope which involves hope forecasts variables including anxiety,depression,life satisfaction and well-being and so on,but exploring affecting factors of hope less.Therefore,we hope this study can substantiate and enrich the results in this area.This study uses?the high school students hope trait scale?revised by Tian Lijuand and others at 2008 and?Simple Parenting Style of Chinese version(S-EMBU-C)?revised by Jiang jiang and others at 2010 and?general self-efficacy scale?revised by Zhang Jianxin,Schwarzer and others at 1995 to survey questionnaires of 600 high school students,to explore the relationship between the three.The results of this study are as follows:(1)The level of path thinking of high school students is higher,the level of power thinking is lower,the level of wishing thinking in nearly eighty percent high school students is higher.(2)Nearly nine out of high school students have a strong sense of self-efficacy,and urban students was significantly higher than rural students on the dimension.(3)Parenting Style has significant differences in gender,the parents will show more emotional warmth to girls.(4)Parental warmth positively predicted hopes and its dimensions,the father's rejects,mother's overprotection can negative predict the hope and the power thinking.(5)Self-efficacy positively predicted hopes and its dimensions,parental warmth positively predicted the self-efficacy of high school students.(6)Self-efficacy partially mediated between father emotional warmth and hope;self-efficacy partially mediated between father emotional warmth and the power thinking;self-efficacy partially mediated between mother emotional warmth and hope and its dimensions.Conclusion:parental warmth has positive effect to hope,the father's rejects,mother's overprotection can negative predict the hope.Parental warmth has forward prediction in self-efficacy of high school students.Self-efficacy partially mediated between parental warmth and hope.
