The specialty identity of students majored in social work is a dynamic process, including cognitive understanding, emotional acceptance and recognition, positive inherent behavior tendency and external behavior, which has an influence on individual mentality and career development. Therefore, the study on specialty identity will contribute individual development and social work professional education.At present, domestic and international scholars have carried extensive discussion from multiple perspectives like psychology and sociology, while few studied on the specialty identity of social work students. Therefore, referring to the existing literature, this study use UML modeling technology and analytic hierarchy process construct the evaluation index system of social work students` professional identity, and then designed questionnaire and interviews to reflect the real level and affecting factors of Social Work students` professional identity in Chongqing. Results are following:(1) The structure of specialty identity includes specialty cognition, specialty conduction and involvement;(2) Social Work students in Chongqing show intermediate specialty identity degree, and there are significant difference in specialty identity degree and its dimensions among gender, grade and specialty will.(3) A positive relationship with classmates and teachers meets the need of belongings. Teachers` positive attitude towards the development of specialty,glorious prospects and policy support are all inspiring, which will be a positive influence on Social Work students` professional identity.(4) The embarrassing development status of this specialty and social worker, the low society recognition would bring students a bleak prospects, and has a negative influence on their professional identity.This paper also brought out some advice for college to improve Social Work students` specialty identity.(1) Increasing investment in library construction, encouraging starting professional associations and making online education a trend to make full use of students` time segment.(2) Integrated course should be offered in Master Degree, to help students build a reasonable framework of the professional knowledge and enhance their professional skills.(3) To achieve the anticipated effect, the effective practice system and the supervision system should be built. And it`s necessary to promote cooperative development of college and institutions of social work to form a relatively stable training base.(4) At the same time, the couse can be used as a carrier to help students adapt to new surroundings quickly and improve specialty identity by implementing Group Work. |
