Through the case study of three needy families in X community in Nanjing City, the main difficulties of needy teenagers are mainly faced with: the shortage of daily life resources and health risks; the lack of informal education; the limitation of social communication channels. It can be seen from the performance of the three clients that they all have a low level of resilience and obstacles in different degrees. The development of needy teenagers' resilience is affected by five main factors: personalities and self-expectation, the identity of the peer group, the family's attention and understanding, the affections of school atmosphere, the supports of communities and social organizations.Social workers should cultivate the needy teenagers' resilience in Strengths Perspective and environmental system. By enhancing teenagers' self-confidence, social workers can promote positive interactions and establish relationship between each other. What's more, it can inspire clients to realize their potential changes and make them to be optimistic to cope with difficulties.Besides, social workers should take the clients main environment as the intervention system from the multi-system level and carry out comprehensive work for their families, schools and communities so as to receive more resources and promote positive interactions between internal and external protective factors. In addition, they should also pay attention to flexible use of the case work method in the actual intervention process.
