Counter-example in math class is getting more attention from professionals, scholars and teachers, new requirement on which is also included in the new curriculum reform. However, surveys conducted by the author in teachers from Luodian county, Guizhou province indicated in the current teaching practice, most of the teachers seldom used counter-example or never used it in class. The presumed reason is that teachers thought counter-example had quite little impact on the improvement of teaching, and did not pay much attention on it. What's more, they didn't the significance of applied counter-example in math class.In order to learn the impact of counter example, experiment was carried out in Grade One student in Bianyang High School, Luodian county. Different teaching strategies were applied in two different classes, Control and Experiment group. In control group, all teaching styles were applied as normal, and in experiment group, new teaching plans including counter-example were used based on the author, the teacher and the head of teaching group. The background of the two group was similar for the average score was almost the same and most of the student from two groups were also from the same junior school of Bianyang High School. Single factor analysis was used and the data were further analyzed with SPSS Result indicated that proper application of counter example can improve the teaching effect.Finally, the result of the experiment were demonstrated in the math teaching & research activity, helping that teachers can pay more attention on counter-example and learn it proactively and eventually apply it in practical teaching.
