Phenomena of women's growing voice on house property have been noticed by the media. The most attractive one is some Chinese women choosing purchasing a house before marriage. Normally, scholars have tried to discuss that women get property in marriage or intergenerational relations. However, it is lake of the female subjectivity. This paper is based on the perspective of female subjectivity to explore what makes a woman buying a house before marriage. It is rich and supplement of independence of woman. This paper is guided by Anthony Giddens's self-identity theory. According to the research objective and analysis framework, this paper selected the interview method as the main research method. This article analyzed from mentality three stages of house purchase:1) which were choosing purchasing a house; 2) mortgaging payments; 3) home improvement. In the analysis, the author found that lack of security and losing in gender identity made the women get the motivations of getting house property. Meanwhile, women felt independent from men and empowered to the pursuit of gender equality. When women were mortgaging payment by themselves, they treat themselves as the host of their lives to do life plan. In the process of house improvement, creating their own styles embodied the female subjectivity as well as introspected personal life. During the time of purchasing a house, social structural factors constructed self-identity as well as individual reflection. Ultimately, the women are embedded in social structure. In my opinion, purchasing a house in the maiden by women is an irreversible trend.
