In today's society, the role of science and technology in economic development and social progress has gradually improved, science and education is getting more and more attention, and the development of science education is indispensable to the cultivation of science teachers. This paper aims to optimize the science teacher training programs in China through the study of international science teacher training scheme.This article selects nan yang technological university, Plymouth university, nan jing xiao zhuang college elementary school science teacher training scheme as the research object.Using literature method to study the history of science education and teacher training background, using comparative research and case study analysis the science teacher training programs of those universities, to explore their similarities and differences on educational system, training target, curriculum structure, curriculum content, using questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview survey study the present situation of nan jing xiao zhuang college science teacher training, to explore its characteristics and existing problems.By comparing the cases of three universities, we could found that each school has different emphasis on training target. Though they have common point in the curriculum, they also have distinguishing feature. All of the three universities offer education courses, subject courses and general education courses. Nan yang technological university have modular elective courses, practice course accounted for more than half at plymouth university, nan jing xiao zhuang college' s major science courses are equipped with the experiment course. According to the results of comparative research,five suggestions could be put forward to optimize the programs:our country should publish the elementary school science teacher training standards as soon as possible; the proportion of modular elective courses should be increased; scientific branch curriculum and integrated curriculum should be combined; set series courses for core subjects; practice courses should set in each academic year.
