Classical poetry appreciation is one of the key elements in recent years in Chinese College Entrance Examination papers. By using questionnaire, comparative research,case studies and other research methods, the paper mainly sorts the classical poetry appreciation questions in 2006-2015 years and analyzes from classical poetry appreciation, middle school teachers and middle school students, three main relevant aspects, which hope to have a comprehensive understanding.After analyzing the basis of setting questions, examination types, examination content and difficulty of test questions, we conclude that the set of classical poetry appreciation questions in Chinese test paper in College Entrance Examination mainly make the Criteria for Chinese Course in High School, Syllabus for Chinese Course in High School and Chinese textbooks; the overall of examination question cent is stable,but the cent of classical poetry appreciation questions is rising, the same with its ratio in the total points in test. The main part of the College Entrance Examination tests lies in the questions of emotional analysis and expression skills. As for the selection of the content, there have a tendency of selecting the works of some unknown writers instead of famous writers. Through the survey of perceiving of classical poetry appreciation questions among middle school teachers, there still exists many problems among grassroots teachers. The problems mainly in the teachers’ adequate understanding of Criteria for Chinese Course in High School, old teaching methods, outdated teaching models,in comprehensive analysis of course goals like improving students integrated development and leading students self-study ability and so on. Through the analysis of the answers made by students in classical poetry appreciation questions, the main problems lie in the misunderstanding of the main idea of the poetry, unclear analysis of questions and lack of standard in answers which lead to the wrong answers.Based on the above conclusions, the author made a narration of the teaching strategies. Starting from the characteristic of classical poetry appreciation, the author puts forward poetry teaching strategies like refining language points, constructing the system of classical poetry appreciation, forming good knowledge transfer ability and fostering independent classical poetry appreciation ability. From the perspective of teachers, the author puts forward strategies on adapting concepts, improving teachers’ self-quality, manifesting the student’s status to improve self-study and taking various teaching methods and so on. From the perspective of students, the author puts forward three suggestions like fostering imagination ability, creating artistic conceptions and training examination skills.
