Now,China has entered the comprehensive construction well-off society and accelerating socialist modernization construction of a new stage of development.Facing the new situation,our country more urgent needs high quality talents with innovative consciousness and comprehensive ability.But the traditional teaching mode has been unable to completely adapt to our demand for person with ability,reform in education is imminent.The application of discussion-based teaching in political teaching in senior middle school,follow the requirement of the new curriculum reform and better able to achieve our goal of teaching.Discussion-based teaching method agree with the subject characteristics of the high school political lesson,and it is an important driving force of transformation of the mode of students’ learning.It is not only beneficial to the cultivation of the students independent thinking ability and innovation consciousness,but also conducive to combining theory with practice so that students can have the ability to apply what they have learned.However,due to the impact of exam-oriented education,combined with the constraints of the backward education evaluation mechanism and the restriction of utilitarianism,it is not very common to use discussion-based teaching method in the high school at present,and often become a mere formality.Specific performance in: it is not enough for teachers to understand the function of the discussion method,and they are wedded to the traditional teaching habits,so they are lack of the exploring spirit in new teaching methods,sometimes,discussion-based teaching method are adopted,but can not reach the ideal teaching effect because of the lack of preparation and teaching wisdom;Students lack of subject consciousness and they haven’t much involvement in classroom activities,and they are passive and blurred completely.When they take part in the discussion,they are usually lack of the ability to analyze and think independently,so that they can not have a better understand of the teacher’s question.In a word,all sorts of factors led to the result that the current discussion-based teaching method in high school exists in name only.Of course,the use of discussion-based teaching method is not achieved overnight,it is a systematic and complex project.In this paper,there are three parts to introduce relevant knowledge of discussion-based teaching method on the basis of previous experience:The first part mainly introduces the connotation of discussion-based teaching method,including its definition,characteristics,and the theoretical basis of classification and its application,I try to have a deep understanding of discussion-based teaching method through the analysis of connotation.The second part mainly introduces the current conditions of implementation of discussion-based teaching method,including the significance to high school political lesson teaching,and the problems existing in the actual operation process and the analysis of the causes of problems,then puts forward the applying condition of discussion-based teaching method can be implemented in the high school political lesson,for application of discussion-based teaching set up the confidence.The third part tells that how to efficient use discussion-based teaching in high school political lesson,which is including the principles and concrete ways of implementation as well as the matters needing attention.
