Discussion method as a conventional teaching method has experienced a long development course,and educators,experts and scholars both at home and abroad have researched in different degrees.Under the background of new curriculum reform, in view of the class discussion of theory and teaching practice are further in-depth, the using of discussion teaching method in Ideological political course is an effective teaching method.It is effective on teaching;it can improve the efficiency of class teaching;it can cultivate a harmonious and democratic relationship between teachers and students;it can train students’ ability to analyze and solve problems and sense of innovation;it can deal with the teacher leading role and students’ main part effect better.With the new curriculum reform continued to deepen, the research of discussion teaching method in high school Ideological political lesson has made a great achievements, but at the same time, there are still some problems.The author summarized the discussion method teaching research status and theory basis of domestic and foreign,and based on the Ideological political class discussion teaching method problems, which were found in high school teaching, The author carried three parts on the elaboration.In the first part, in order to define discussion method and discussion method teaching,the author to discuss the teaching theories as a starting point, and describe the four characteristics of the teaching of discussion method;in this part, the paper also briefly introduces the main forms of the application of discussion method in the current ideological and political class;then this paper discusses the theoretical basis of the discussion method of teaching,and the significance of the application of the discussion method in high school ideological political lesson.In the second part,it mainly analyses the problems and reasons in the current high school ideological political class discussion teaching by the author own practice teaching and interview investigation. This is the key part of this article.The author will expound the current high school ideological political class discussion teaching from its mode﹑problems and causes on the elaboration.In the third part,on the basis of analyzing the existing problems and reasons of the teaching of political lesson in senior high school, the countermeasures is given to solve the problems of the current high school politics teaching. Firstly, it explains the principles should be insisted on using the discussion methods in high school ideological and political lessons;Secondly, it gives specific countermeasures to solve the problems of using discussion method of teaching in current high school ideological and political classes:Such as teachers’ teaching ideas, students’ cognitive aspects, teaching evaluation system andteaching material environment.
