| The national unity education bases are precious resource for national unity education. Since 2006, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission has successively designated four groups of the national unity progressive education bases. Among these bases, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region occupies four. They are Li Mingrui and Wei Baqun Martyrs Memorial Hall, Baise Uprising Memorial Hall, Guangxi Museum for Nationalities and Donglan cemetery of revolutionary martyrs. Since 2010, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has also nominated some progressive unity education bases. With the help of these advanced bases, Guangxi has made rapid process in the national unity education work.The national unity education bases are the important medium for popularizing ethnic culture and the main implementation platform for national unity education. They are also the implementing agencies for cultivating the state concept and national identification as well as the important carrier for patriotism education. Although the Guangxi national unity education bases have made benignant process and have accelerated the step forward of national unity education of Guangxi, the functions are not fully released.The main problems which influence the function releasing of Guangxi national unity education bases are as follows. There is a deviation on the understanding about national unity education. The national education bases are short of management mechanism. The inadequate input of funds is one of the problems. In addition, there are also problems on propagandizing and popularizing as well as the activity pattern.In response to these problems that affect the release of the bases’ functions, this paper gives some tentative suggestions. To begin with,complete the infrastructure construction of the national unity education bases. Secondly, strengthen the team construction and raise the service level. Thirdly, strengthen the website construction and make sure the information is shared among all ports. Moreover, deepen the connotation construction and improve the quality of education. Last but not least,schools should reform actively to work together with the national unity bases. Lastly, the national unity bases should cooperate with the state organs and the social organization to improve the quality of education. |
