| The main difficulty of Chinese education lies in the rural area. Rural preschool education concerns the healthy development of thousands of rural children. Building a teacher group of high quality is a requirement for developing rural preschool education. However, the present situation of rural preschool teachers is not optimistic. Therefore, the concepts of stock and increment are presented,by doing so, this paper tries hard to find out problems that exist in the stock and increment of rural preschool teachers, and proposes some countermeasures.This paper takes the stock and increment of teachers as its main line, methods such as literature research and questionnaire survey have been used in the study. In terms of stock, the total quantity, the quantity structure and the overall stability of rural preschool teachers are combed, combining the findings of 82 teachers from County Y, Henan Province, problems are put forward: serious shortage, low quality, the low number of professional teacher, the teaching team is not stable. In terms of increment, an research on rural employment intentions of potential teachers was implemented, including 1,314 preschool education department’s students who come from 6 preschool education professional colleges of different types and levels,it turns out that few students are willing to work in rural kindergartens, and there are no significant differences between students of different types.Then, this paper analyzes the dilemmas of stock and increment: the stock of rural preschool teachers is inadequate, the increment of rural preschool teachers is not optimistic. And the reasons are analyzed too, poor survival status of rural preschool teachers, the weakening of executive strength of public policy, students’ disappointment with the situation, the defects in the cultivation pattern of universities and colleges. Finally, this paper put forward the countermeasure proposal. To stabilize the stock, first, the government needs to perfect relevant legislation, confirm teachers’ identity and treatment. Second, intensifying the efforts of public financial assistance for the pay of teachers. Third, carrying out the system of community school teachers, offering government allowance.To attract the increment, first, implementing directional enrollment system of “from the countryside and going to the countryside”. Second, implementing especially contracted preschool teacher scheme. Third, founding a rural-oriented preschool education talent cultivation mode. Fourth, strengthening the education of employment, encouraging college graduates to pursue careers in rural areas. |
