The new curriculum reform for high school has been developed and established in the most regions of the country from 2004 to 2015.The new curriculum reform promotes quality education,advocates respecting students' development characteristics of physical and psychological and laws of education.Students can actively participate in learning and be willing to learn by stimulating the interest of students.But as a matter of fact,students from rural area make up a high proportion in most high schools of Henan.Compared with urban students,rural students have little interests in the subject of biology,and the current learning situation is not optimistic.Given these objective issues,it is necessary to carry out a research about how to stimulate students' interest in learning and arouse their enthusiasm and initiatives in accordance to the physical and psychological characteristics of rural students.Around this purpose,the paper launched a related study.Based on the investigation and static of the rural students' current basic learning situation,the author comes to a conclusion that rural students of high school students' have little interests in learning biology.Involving researching methods include the documentary method,questionnaire survey,case method and so on.The factors contribute to this result in the thesis are: education system,the subject itself,schools,biology teachers,as well as the students themselves.On this basis,combined with the characteristics of rural students,the author proposed methods to cultivate students' interest in learning biology: Approaching to their hearts,improving learning emotions,eliminating fear of difficulty and psychological resistance;emphasizing the teachers' personality charm so that the students will get close to teachers and work with them;Optimizing teaching methods,and making the class filled with fun.There are differences between the two parallel classes on class performance and achievements after the teaching practice for a semester.Statistical analysis shows that there is a significant difference on the results,which can prove the effectiveness of author's methods.
