| Both intellectual and nonintellectual factors can affect learning outcome. Learning motivation directly affecting the learning effect is an important part of nonintellectual factors. It is necessary for math teacher in the teaching process to learn about different levels of learning motivation of students, to find out the problems existing among them and to stimulate their learning motivation. It is no doubt that math is the fundamental subject in the whole teaching system, thus, studying math learning motivation for medium high school students is a very necessary task.In the process of studying, the author adopts four methods: literature research method, questionnaire approach, interview method,individual case studying method. In order to learn the current motivation situation of medium high school students better, factors like students themselves, family, school, teacher, learning environment and subject features will be taken into consideration to make a questionnaire consisting of 25 choice questions and 4 open type questions. After interviewing certain students and analyzing the results, the author finds out that the level of learning motivation of students is generally low. Besides, the author comes up with advice and strategies according to the existing problems of math learning and learning motivation.The article includes five chapters. In the first chapter, studying background, problems, studying method and studying situation and significance at abroad and home will be stated and analyzed on the basis of teaching practice along with lots of literature statistics. The second chapter will elaborate the relevant content of learning motivation. In the third chapter, the author concludes the related theoretical foundation about learning motivation. Studying process will be introduced in the fourth chapter. The result of questionnaire will be analyzed and problems about learning motivation among students also will be stated. In the last chapter, the author provides the corresponding advice and strategies.The innovation of the article lies in its combination with the latest research achievements about learning motivation, questionnaire of math learning motivation and current situation, clear and direct studying results. The author studies the present learning motivation by combining the sever learning problems and widespread extra tutoring, and find out the existing problems about math learning among students. What’s more, the author provides the effective advice and strategies according to teaching practice and existing problems, and applies the relevant theories and research results.Math teachers should learn the relevant theories about learning motivation, realize the current situation of math learning motivation and take measures to change the existing problems among students about math learning in order to let students like math. Teachers in the teaching process need not only let students learn knowledge but also let them realize why they have to learn. Besides, teachers have to motivate students to learn math, let them feel math learning fun and fully cultivate and stimulate students’ learning motivation to make a highly effective and happy math class to cultivate students with high academic quality, contributing a little bit to the development of education and curriculum reform. |
