The Application Of Medical Knowledge In Biology Teaching In Middle School

Medical knowledge is related to the human life and health and includes the huge data information. In the current middle school, biology teaching is a good method to teach and help students developing the healthy lifestyle and better physical and mental development. To understand the status of the teaching of biology with medical knowledge, the students of grade 7(200) and their biological teachers(30) in middle school in Kaifeng were conducted via questionnaire-type survey and follow-up visit method. In response to these findings, the analysis of the effects of the medical knowledge teaching have been done and a number of suggestions have been made.Some results applying medical education in biological teaching of middle school has been achieved, but still needed more development, as follows:(1) Biology teaching is an excellent platform for teaching medical knowledge to the students;(2) Biology teachers can teach their students medical knowledge actively, but the understanding, teaching capacity and shared time of medical knowledge were not adequate. The teaching process and methods was simple. Most teachers were younger and might be not experienced. All what mentioned above makes the weaker effectiveness of medical education.(3) Teaching in class remains the main way to students to know medical knowledge. Network media has became another a important way to students to understand medical knowledge. Middle school students have strong curiosity to learn medical knowledge though they understand these knowledge insufficiently. They can use the learned medical knowledge into life. The needs of students to medical knowledge were greater than what taught by their teacher because of the absence of completed teaching system of medical knowledge.Applying for the currently status of medical knowledge teaching and demands of students to medical knowledge, some items were recommended:(1) To integrate and expand the medical knowledge contents in textbook;(2) To strengthen medical knowledge of the teachers;(3) To make the diversification of teaching methods and teaching modes;(4) To establish better assessment system of medical knowledge teaching.
