The role of information technology to human beings is huge, the United States advocate the whole people of this country learning programming, therefore the popularity of Olympiad in informatics taking place in the high school is of great significance. Olympiad in Informatics activities have cultivated and found a large number of programming enthusiasts, selecting out many talents on computer science. However, compared to Olympiad in other subject in high school, the number of high students in Olympiad in informatics is much smaller. The teaching of Olympiad in informatics is difficult, so the number of teachers in Olympiad in informatics are much smaller. As a result it is a problem in how to attract more students and teachers involved in Olympiad in informatics.According to the research and analyses of literature which related to Olympiad in informatics, and my teaching experience, I have summarized the teaching process of Olympiad in informatics, so that let the teacher who have just enter or want to enter this field can learn about the teaching process of Olympiad in informatics quickly. Based on the theories of pedagogy and psychology, I have explored the class teaching process of Olympiad in informatics mainly, and according to the experimental results of my teaching, I have also summarized a classroom teaching mode called "1 platform+4 steps teaching method" classroom teaching mode, which is based on the ability of students' self-regulated learning and the role of teacher's guiding, and Its platform is Online Judge and Discuz!. It can give a reference to the teacher who have just enter or want to enter this field on the classroom teaching of Olympiad in informatics, and using this classroom teaching mode can promote the ability of student's self-regulated learning, it can also make it easier for teachers' teaching, reduce the teacher's burdens, and improve the quality of teaching. The purpose of doing this is attracting more students, teachers involved in the Olympiad in informatics and making more popularization of Olympiad in informatics in high school.
