The Research On The College Graduates’ Emotions To Their Alma Mater

As the main past players of various higher education activities of colleges,college graduates,their emotions to their alma mater is an important indicator reflecting the quality of service and higher education.The research on college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater can provide some help for the college to enhance the educational and service levels,increase positive emotions for graduates of his alma mater.Based on a large number of interviews,researches on the college identify and school belonging,the research developed a college graduates to their alma mater’s emotional questionnaire,investigated the present situations of the different college graduates with different characteristics of different types of colleges in a wide range of,found the factors that influence their emotions to their alma mater,and made some suggestions for their alma mater to develop the positive emotions.By using the statistical software to analysis the data from the 571 college graduates,and being combined with interview,the conclusions were showed as follow:(1)On the whole,the college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater are in good condition.The diversity didn’t consist in gender,age,length of graduation,but consist in the Educational background and the type of college as well as the interaction of gender and length of graduation.(2)The factors affecting the college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater have: teacher,the impact on the personal development of their alma mater,the construction of material and spiritual culture,personal experience.There were significant correlation between college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater and the teacher evaluation,the impact on the personal development of alma mater,the spiritual cultural construction,the material conditions at 0.01 levels(bilateral).And the correlation between college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater and the impact on the personal development of alma mater was strongest.The regression model for college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater between evaluation of their alma mater: College graduates’ emotions to their alma mater = 0.132 teachers +0.425 the evaluation of the impact on the personal development of alma mater +0.077 the evaluation of the construction of spiritual culture+0.12 the evaluation of material conditions.There were significant correlation between college graduates’ emotions to their alma mater and the following experiences: whether the professional one applied for in his alma mater was voluntary,the overall academic rankings,whether the student leader,whether the regular participation in community activities,whether enjoyed funding and whether worked with professional in alma mater counterparts,whether received an invitation to participate in school activities after graduation and obtained a school(including alumni)assistance,whether used to participate in activities organized by the alumni Association.Therefore,the research suggests that colleges should improve the level and quality of teachers,be focused on the development of students,strengthen the construction of material and spiritual culture,attach importance to the work of graduate alumni and so on,to develop the positive emotions of college graduates to their alma mater.
