With a rich culture, Idioms are the essence of Chinese vocabulary.We can guide the students to achieve specific goals of literacy, rich expression in writing and oral communication by learning idioms, and better help students to establish correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. The classification of idiom teaching is a efficient, convenient and operability idioms teaching method that will be classified and summed up the idioms that scattered around the textbook with a certain standard.After finishing process and then teach to the students for getting systematic, in-depth teaching method to inspire students' interest in learning. The students don't feel dull in studying any more. In contrast to the conventional teaching methods, students can base of which learn font and pronunciation to master cultural connotation through idioms surface;training students to summarize and inductive learning habits; developing the thinking ability of the students to draw inferences about idioms studying.The thesis is composed of five parts. The first part is introduction that narrates the significance of the idioms teaching method and idioms classification teaching method, which embodies the research value of idioms classification teaching method from different aspects. The mainpart of this thesis includes four parts. The first part describes vital function of idioms classification teaching method on the PEP Edition of Chinese textbooks for Senior High School from three aspects. It includes that will be conducive to the students' memory, be conducive to the cultivation of students' imagination and association, and be conducive to the development of student's thinking. In second part, the author classify all the idioms of PEP Edition of Chinese textbooks for Senior High School(a&b) basis of structure type, narrative content and origin. The author gives a detailed analysis of the classification criteria and classification reasons. The third part is the specific implementation basis on the second part. It fully shows the maneuverability of the idioms classification teaching method. The forth is a control test report that the author got the real data from internship. The author used the idioms classification teaching method in the practice process,and compared with the other students without this way. So the author draws a conclusion that the idioms classification teaching method has efficient.In this thesis, the author used bibliographic retrieval method,summarization method and contrasts method. To summarize the status of idioms teaching in junior high school education by consulting relevant literature and to summarize the merit and demerit of former idioms teaching method, the author proposes idioms classification teaching method. At the same time, the author classifies the idioms of PEP Edition of Chinese textbooks for Senior High School(a&b) by summarization method; test idioms classification teaching method practice by contrasts method to prove that has the characteristics of strong maneuverability and effective.
