With the speeding up of popularization of higher education after entrance-expanding, higher vocational education had made a so great development,that the scale being the half of higher education in our country. As a result, more and more people pay attention to higher vocational education. Whether China should develop undergraduate vocational education or not? And which path should be chosen to walk? Whether the upgrading path is the best path? These problems are becoming the focus of social attention. As one of the most important group of teaching staff in higher vocational colleges, the view of the developing direction of higher vocational education, is of great significance for the development of higher education in the future.Therefore, through the perspective of teachers, to understand and find the problems existing in the higher vocational education, is a worth studying topic.The theoretical basis in this paper includes self-organization theory, the social comparison theory and social identity theory. According to the three theories 4researching hypothesis are put forward. Most staff in higher vocational colleges agree to develop undergraduate vocational education; Most staff agree to develop undergraduate vocational education by upgrading path; Staff with higher education level have a stronger upgrading willness; The background of colleges will affect the staff's upgrading willingness. Then, this research mainly applies questionnaire survey method to choose 220 staff in higher vocational to join in the investigation. The result shows that 4 researching hypothesis above are all true.Based on the discovery of the results, the paper makes some suggestions. Firstly,making a more deep understanding of higher vocational education and fully understanding the necessity of developing higher vocational education; Secondly,paying more attention to the staff. To build a more attractive career developmentplatform for the highly educated level staff and to encourage the lowly educated level staff to constantly raise business level, in order to improve their organizational commitment; Lastly, correcting the developing direction of exemplary vocational colleges and walking a road that can develop higher vocational education in a diversification way.
