In theory, This study suggests that: The silence have following: refusal?temptation?growth?resistance?introversion. Based on the theory, This paper put forward the solutions. In practice, the social worker is difficult to choose appropriate strategies by the difference form. Because the group work will be less affected by the process.In the social case work practice, this paper puts forward the resolution strategy of the silence. When the refuse silence happens, social workers should give the client some advice to choice and respect the client's right of self-determination. When the silence happens early in the social case work, social workers should try to use open questions and rely on the good professional relationship to promote the conversation. When the growth silence happens in the social case work, social workers can either guide with a low voice or wait patiently, but can't interrupt. When the obstruct silence happens and along with extreme changes in mood, social workers should be the first to let the client to calm down, and then further converse. When the silence caused by introverted client in the social case work, social worker can use the skills of art therapy. Such as: painting?role playing.In the group work practice, when the group members meet for the first time, social workers should create a safe atmosphere for the group members and use of the competition mechanism to promote the communication. When all group members are silent in the sharing session, the silence should be allowed and social worker can use guiding skills?encourage skills?support skills to promote members share. When group members meet last time, group members may be silent because they can't accept members' leave ever happening. Faced with this situation, social workers should guide the group members to review process and understand their growth.
