Based on the theory of pipe leakage, the essay is on the perspective of social gender to study the narrower pipe of internationalization of higher education, in which how the female faculty is now, whether there is the possibility of any leakage,if it is what's the reason behind or if it is not what's the reason either. The previous studies mostly researched the internationalization of faculty in the university level,and seldom of them researched the internationalization of faculty from faculty themselves, not to mention the study from the perspective of gender, which is where the innovation is in this essay. Besides, this study is of important significance in both theory and practice. In the aspect of theory, it boosts the construction of gender equality culture in universities, enriches the theory of social gender and replenishes the study on faculty development; in the aspect of practice, it provides universities with reference when making internationalized strategy, tactics, curricula construction and tactics of faculty development. Also, it further promotes internationalization of higher education advancing in a diversification direction,builds a decent academic atmosphere of male and female faculty development mutually, which is of vital value for the society as a whole, universities, and faculty development.Therefore, the essay is through questionnaire survey to collect data, and to compare overall features in terms of gender difference of female faculty's participation in internationalization of higher education, based on social gender theory and pipe leakage theory, from seven dimensionalities, namely domestic internationalization, internationalization of cross-border communication, the awareness of participation in internationalization, the awareness of organizational support in internationalization, knowledge and skill in internationalization,educational internationalization. As the study shows, the degree of participation in internationalization is lower in female faculty than males, showing in the lower degree of internationalization of domestic scientific research and internationalization of cross-border scientific research. But female faculty's participation in internationalization of domestic teaching is higher than males, and their awareness of participation in internationalization and organizational support in internationalization is higher than their male counterparts. As for the aspect ofknowledge and skill in internationalization and educational internationalization,there is no obvious difference. The lack of necessary guidance in initial career stage,the social responsibility as a mother and the difficulty in balancing the contradictory between family and career, organizational barriers and personal barriers and the factors within the academic system are the main reasons for the fact that females are more likely to be leaked from the pipe of internationalization. And the reason for their participation is about educational equality and social advance. After further comparison of the female faculty within their group, it is easy to find that a part of female faculty is more likely to be leaked. And female faculty without the chance to enter major universities have a lower participation in internationalization, the ability of accessing scientific research resources would affect the participation in internationalization, and some females has a low achievement motivation without role models thus the disadvantages just accumulated. Enhancing the degree of female faculty's participation in internationalization of higher education is important content in striving for females' status and speaking right in academic world, which is also something inherent in the topic of internationalization of higher education. By encouraging more and more female faculty to participate in internationalization of higher education, the wisdom of females can be shown totally, and internationalization of higher education's advancing in a diversification direction can be promoted. However, there is still a long way to go in the development path of female faculty's participate in internationalization, which needs the joint efforts from society, university and individuals to improve the current situation of female faculty's participate in internationalization.
