With the rapid development of society and economy,the level of urbanization has been continuously improved.People’s living standards are constantly improving,the pace of life is speeding up,and more convenient and efficient ways of travel are required.With the traffic increasing,the contradiction between time and space for traffic on the road have become increasingly prominent.Road congestion is becoming more and more serious,road traffic management situation is becoming more and more serious.The traffic police’s workload continues to increase.This requires the public security police to take a higher level of work performance to cope with the new situation of continuous development.Since the reform and opening up,China’s road traffic management work and the public security traffic police team have made considerable progress,but there are still many problems.At present,it is an important task for the public security traffic management department that how to optimize management,fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the police,and maximize the efficiency of the police force base on the existing working environment and conditions.This requires the public security traffic management departments to innovate and adjust the management mechanism,change management concepts,and build a modern and efficient team in a more scientific and humane way.This paper analyzes the performance appraisal of Xinyu traffic police detachment.It draws lessons from the research results of modern management theory and performance appraisal theory.It adopts the modern management theory and the KPI index method,and uses the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.It takes into full consideration the factors that influence the performance of traffic police,and finally establishes a performance appraisal model.Through job analysis,the new model sets up assessment indexes for traffic police in different posts.According to the function and influence of different indexes in traffic management,it carries out weights and assigns different scores,trying to build a more perfect performance evaluation system.There are still some problems in the performance appraisal of traffic police.The performance appraisal lacks the guidance of scientific theory.It relies on the past examination experience.The method is simple and extensive.There is not a complete theoretical system and a perfect assessment system.This paper attempts to improve the performance appraisal system through the studyof performance appraisal of traffic police.It will improve the public security police to work enthusiasm and improve the efficiency of the public security.At the same time,it can effectively improve the team management and optimize the team building.By taking Xinyu traffic police as an example,this paper also provides a valuable reference for comprehensive understanding and researching on the performance evaluation system of the entire public security police.And it can provide reference for the research and practice of public security performance evaluation system in other places.
