Reasearch On The Correction Of Juvenile Offenders In Prison

Juvenile delinquency is a social issue of common concern in today’s world.In recent years,the total number of case of juvenile delinquency in China,the proportion of imprisonment has been declining year by year,the type of crime,gang crime and other trends,for the attention of all walks of life.In China,the principle of "giving priority to education,supplemented by punishment" is suitable for juvenile offenders,which is in line with the characteristics and requirement of juvenile offenders.As a part of the correction of juvenile delinquents,prison correction is not only different from that and adult offenders,but also different from the non custodial correction of juvenile offenders.This paper makes clear the juvenile offenders prison correction related concepts,analysis of China’s juvenile crime based on the characteristics of the prison correction,J Province juvenile correctional prisoner’s basic situation and J Province juvenile correctional corrective measures for more detailed analysis,that the juvenile prison correction mainly has the following problems:First,a juvenile prison correction rules legal order is low,there is no specific content;secondly,correction target over the pursuit of economic benefits;thirdly,the juvenile individual remedy measures are inadequate;fourth,to the juvenile correctional single way,instilling education;fifth,the correction level of staff uneven,difficult to adapt to the new situation;the six,difficult to assess the quality of correction.Based on the reasons for these problems are analyzed,put forward to juvenile imprisonment rectification legal system,institutional reform,correction operation mechanism,proposed the reform and improvement of the correction quality.
