Firefighters are constantly under the environment of high strength,high pressure and high risk due to the particularity and danger of the profession.Moreover,the daily life of firefighters is also constrained in a relatively closed environment,the intense training,strict superior-subordinate system,and the high requirements of professional ability put firefighters under enormous physical and psychological pressure.Meanwhile,team cooperation is widely utilized in the implementation of the task,which comes with high requirements on firefighters’ team work ability.In view of the particularity of fire-fighting personnel,the research on the team trust and sense of mission of firefighters is rather rare in domestic.In recent years,a small amount of researches concerning the burnout,work-family conflict,emotional culture of firefighters start to appear.This research aims to help firefighters create a better atmosphere of trust,to maintain their physical and mental health,to improve work engagement,and to enhance their combat capacity.A substantial amount of research shows that work engagement is related to certain positive work behaviors,and the previous research mainly focuses on the result variables of work engagement and less on antecedent variables,this paper will study the relationship between trust and work engagement relevant to organizational atmosphere,and verify whether trust has predictive effect on work engagement.The concept of trust appears relatively early on,and there is no unified definition,but the empirical study on trust mainly looks at the developed regions,and the focused group is also concentrated in enterprises.This article chose the fire fighters in Kunming,Yunnan province of our country as the research object,and made an attempt to make contribution to this domain through the research on the social professional group in developing countries,thereby diversifying the research object.As a kind of internal driving force,calling is taken as a research variable,on the basis of which,this study explores the influence of intrinsic motivation on the relationship between trust andwork engagement and the possible relationship between calling and work engagement.In terms of choosing the scale for calling,the CCS(Chinese Calling Scale)set up by the scholars from home and abroad is applied,of which Chinese university students are taken as the samples.This study aims to further explore the applicability of this scale in China.Taking 162 firefighters of Kunming Public Security Fire Brigade as the research object,this paper carries out the measurement by using the trust scale with high reliability and validity,the CCS(Chinese Calling Scale)based on Chinese culture and environment development,and the widely used UWES(Utrecht Work Engagement Scale).Basic situation:(1)The trust among firefighter is decent,which is on middle upper level.(2)The entire social occupational group consisted of firefighters has a relatively high calling.(3)The work engagement directly affects the final work result,the research shows that the firefighter’s work engagement is generally scored high.(4)There are significant differences in the firefighter’s trust,calling and work devotion among different demographic variables.Through literature research,this paper collects and analyzes the trust,calling and work engagement in China and abroad,thereby looking up the research results of the current variables and the research progress among the variables,so as to provide theoretical support for this research,and to put forward the thesis model and hypotheses.The questionnaire survey is carried out and the questionnaires are collected,which shall be then collated by SPSS and Amos Software.The reliability and validity of the scale will be tested,along with descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,variance analysis,and regression analysis,so as to conduct empirical verification on the model and theoretical hypothesis.The relationship between trust,professional sense of mission and job engagement:(1)There is a positive correlation between trust and work engagement.(2)A positive correlation exists between calling and work engagement.(3)The professional sense of calling can moderate the relation between trust and work engagement,that is,the calling can...
