Design Research Of Chinese Old-age Communities Based On The CCRC Mode In America

With the aging population problem become more and more serious in China,the old-aging real estate is blooming in a decade.At the same time,problems are also inevitably exposed.Narrowly speaking,retirement communities in China are more than residential communities with some service for the age,which exists an essential distinction.Retirement communities stem from the USA,in form of naturally occurring retirement communities originally.And nowadays,continuing care retirement communities(CCRCs)become much more popular,which includes all the service,ranged from the home health service to the hospice care.It means a lot to study CCRCs to develop the old-age real estate in China.The first chapter includes the background of retirement communities in China,explanations about some nouns,the research situation from the domestic and foreign countries,the research methods,framework,and innovative points and deficiencies.The second chapter introduces space design and planning in American CCRCs.Three patterns in CCRCs are summarized,which are the high-rise,the courtyard,and the functional groups.The third chapter analyses Chinese CCRCs under these three patterns in space design and planning.Contrasts are made between these two countries,proposing the necessity of CCRCs in China.The forth chapter summarizes design strategies of CCRCs.At last,the facing opportunities and challenges are analyzed.And at the same time,how to construct the Chinese characteristic CCRCs is put forward.
