Uyghur nationality is one of the fifty-six nationalities in China, which has a belief in the Islam and is situated in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. With the rapid development of economic society, there is an escalation of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang in the inland cities.Therefore, new issues appear in urban ethnic work. As a result of violent terrorist crime, the floating population of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang gained extensive attention recently. Local authorities had a passive attitude to them and local people even discriminated and repelled them. With the indepth exchange of views among different nationalities, urban ethic work has a new challenge to offer better service and management.To have a better understanding between local people and the floating population of the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang and is helpful for them to adapt to new life well. At the same time, To improve the service and management of the floating population of the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang and do a better job of urban ethnic work to maintain national unity and build a harmonious society.This article studied status quo, living difficulties, service and management of the floating population of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang in the Nanning city and analyzed existing problems from three aspects of the basic level government departments, local people and Xinjiang minority by document research, field investigation and questionnaire survey and so on, based on the theories of Marxist Ethnic Theory and Policy.According to this situation, the author gave corresponding suggestions and solutions to strengthen the service and management of floating population of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang.
