As the development of our country’s economy,the life quality of urban and ruralresidents has been improving little by little.However,there are still a lot of low-income,urban poor and other vulnerable groups existing in the cities.These vulnerable groups include a large number of low-income families.They have different difficulties which exist in all aspects of basic necessities,such as clothes,food,live and so on.Due to the limitations of household economic conditions,children in the low-income families are more likely to suffer physical problems,psychologicalproblems,educational problems and interpersonal aspects.In the current concept that the education changes destiny,the education of children in the low-income families has become a core issue in many problems.Due to the limitations of family economic level and education level,these children have less opportunities to enjoy a higher level of education,at the same time,they are more likely to reduce access to higher personal development and increase inter-generational transmission of poverty rate.Despite we have implemented a series of policy in order to supply support and assistance that include social security education,employment for the vulnerable and low-income families.However,with the development of society and deepening reform,it doesn’t have insufficient good solutions for the education of children in low-income families,if it only depends on the government policy to help the poor and disadvantaged groups.It is necessary to build an educational system which needs In-depth research and the force of other organizations and networks for children in low-income families.Focusing on education of the children in low-income urban families is not only beneficial to improve and solve educational issues,but also relieve social conflicts and promote social harmony.The research takes use of some methods which includes literature research,in-depth interviews and field observations and so on.Moreover,taking the children in low-income urban families in L project as research object,we can understand theliving conditions of children in low-income families and analyze the problems of education which appears in low-income families.Furthermore we can discovery education problems which appears in Low-income families and concludes the reason.At the same time,this article further elaborates the function and lack of education for their children in low-income families about L program and proposes appropriate improvement measures to promote children in low-income urban families to get a better education.This paper consists of six parts.The first part of this paper is introduction.Firstly,this part introduces the research background and significance of this paper;Secondly,this part introduces the research object including the selection of L projects,research sites and research object;Finally,this part introduces the method of this research including literature,in-depth interviews,observation and depth visits to low-income families to collect and organize information.The second part is concepts and literature review.Firstly,this part defines the concept about the urban low-income family children;Secondly,this part summarizes and explains the current situation of domestic and foreign scholars around the city and related research issues for low-income families in their children’ education.Analysis found that the study of low-income children education focuses on advocacy education fair,education laws and regulations,but less attention is paid to the problems which include the education integration of children,socialization of children and the social workers who involve in,which supplies necessity for exploring social work professional services involving in low-income families.The third part is the analysis of the basic situation and educational problems of children in low-income families in L project.Depending on the survey and interview data,poor living condition exists in low-income families,at the same time,some universal deficiencies appear at some aspects which includes family income,parents’occupation,food and clothing situation,learning environment and so on.So,education problem of the children in low-income families mainly divide as follows:insufficient investment in education,parent-child interaction weakening,losing tutoring,poor social learning or lack of cultural life,home-school or poor Interaction,poor interaction network between peer group.The forth part is about social work intervention of L program in education issues of children in low-income families.For the education issues of children in the third part,firstly this part introduces the intervention of L program which take use of the methods of group work and case work about the education issues of children in low-income families.At the same time,this part serious analyzes the effect of intervention.Maybe L program have achieved some good effects for involving in low-income families on some level,but as the saying goes,everything has two sides,more or less some deficiencies exist in L program.Finally,against the implementation process of the children’ education issues by intervention of L program,this part analyzes its superiority and weaknesses.In order to provide lessons learned for social work services for low-income families.The fifth part introduces the ways to improve social intervention services for low-income families.Against the weaknesses of L program,this part proposes the ways to further improve social work services.This part discusses some aspects of the social work agency which include self-construction and development,professional team,volunteers,service models,assessment models and policies to improve some service ways and improve the effectiveness of social intervention services and provide more comprehensive services.The sixth part includes summary and reflection.Firstly,this part summarizes the whole article and reflects on the present study which can be continued to improve.Against community development,community can seek community resources and does not only depend on the active involvement of social service agencies.The developing time of local social work in China is so short and the mode is single.Therefore,social service agencies should cooperate with each other and Share different operating mode,which can promote the localization of social work’s development.For the education issues of children in low-income families,we can also probe the research from the angle of resilience.In addition to solve problems,but also we can probe the research which improve children’ ability. |
