This article is based on the study of classical works with "traces of China" in Western jewelry from the late 19 th century to the early 20 th century.China's decorative arts have a long history and rich content.In particular,the decorative techniques of China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties have long left traces in the West.After the Opium War,a large number of Chinese arts and crafts flowed into western countries,bringing western handicraftsmen more contact and awareness of Chinese culture.Chinese influenced Western practical art from the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries.In the area of jewelery,western artisans merged Chinese elements with western local decorative features to create a series of new and original pieces of jewelry with "Chinese marks." At the same time,western jewelry art of this period was popular both in the Art Nouveau and the Art Deco style,and the two styles were also have Chinese element.The art-oriented western jewelry brand in the turn of the century is also more bold use of and draw on the Chinese element.In the contemporary era,"traces of China" have a subsequent impact on Western jewelry creation.By studying the western jewelry design on the Chinese elements of the subject,I learn from Western art and culture learn from each other's methods,and use this method of reference for the jewelry creation design.
