Report On Techno-Economic Evaluation Of Innovative Steel Production Technologies

This report is based on the translator?s practice of translating Techno-Economic Evaluation of Innovative Steel Production Technologies.The source material belongs to metallurgical English,which is a branch of EST.As a result,it is equipped with the characteristics of accuracy,high specialty and logic of EST.Under the guidance of text typology,as well as other translation techniques and strategies,the translator translated the source material into Chinese.Task description,process description,case analysis and conclusion are presented in this report.In the first Chapter,namely,task description,the translator makes an analysis of the source material and explains the significance of this project.The translator introduces the preparations before translation including the acquaintance of background information,establishment of glossary,as well as the preparation of translation tools,and then starts to translate the source material under the guidance of the text typology in the second chapter.After finishing the translation of the source material,the translator tries to analyze the problems and solutions at the lexical and sentential level that encountered during the translation of the source material by using translation strategies and skills in the form of case analysis.In the last part,the translator summarized his own ideas about this translation practice.
