Research On The Moral Responsibility Of Scientists From The Perspective Of Scientific And Technological Risks

Modern science has entered the "big science" era,while the rapid development of science and technology at the same time,brought a lot of unpredictable scientific and technological risks,which are caused by the scientific progress and the unexpected consequences of the technological revolution.Contemporary scientific and technological risks are fraught with complexity and uncertainty.The traditional scientific knowledge and methods have been unable to manage the contemporary scientific and technological risks.At present,people have begun to show great concern about the side effects of scientific activities.This requires scientists to consciously assume their moral responsibility in the process of science and technology risk management,In order to achieve the actual effect of science and technology risk management.This paper takes the science and technology risk of “big science” era as the background,focuses on science and technology risks,scientists and moral responsibility,uses case analysis method,literature research method and interdisciplinary research method to make an in-depth analysis of the scientist's moral responsibility,It is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly explains the connotation of risk and responsibility,and the science and technology risk faced by the society today poses new challenges to the moral responsibility of scientists.The second chapter mainly analyzes the limits and dilemmas of scientists' moral responsibility,the scientist should bear the responsibility of the scientific research,and clarify the boundary of responsibility.The third chapter mainly discusses the reason why the scientist lacks moral responsibility.From the two aspects of the quality of scientists and external mechanisms,the lack of scientific responsibility for scientists to explore.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the main ways to enhance the moral responsibility of scientists.It emphasizes the risk considerations of scientific activities and the moral responsibility of the scientist.And discusses the construction of the restraint mechanism of scientists' moral responsibility,it is mainly discussed from their own factors and external environmental factors of scientists.It includes the construction of the sense of responsibility of scientists,public participation in scientific decision making,the establishment of public opinion supervision mechanism,the establishment of Scientific Research Ethics Mechanism,Strengthen legislation and legal supervision.Only a clear definition of the moral responsibility of scientists can avoid the risk of science and technology in scientific research activities.
