Nowadays,video games have become more and more popular in people's leisure life,and perhaps video games can influence players' brain,making some plasticity effect,so exploring that how action video games change our brain becomes a hot and meaningful issue.In this study,we choose one of representation of action video games today,which on one hand,requires players to have eye-hand coordination,to make strategy quickly and to judge the effectiveness of information;while in the other hand,needs team cooperation.At present,around the world action video games are more and more popular,and some famous action video game projects have been incorporated into international competitions and comprehensive sports events.There are lots of researches indicating that action video games are highly related with cognitive control and good carrier for exploring plasticity of brain mechanism.Thus,action video games attract more and more attention from cognitive neuroscience and psychology researchers.Based on EEG technology,this study analyzes the distinction of brain state between expert players and amateur players in resting state with eyes closed,and discusses about the plasticity effect induced by action video games.After experiment,data collecting,pre-processing,frequency extraction,power spectrum analysis,and PLV network construction,we focus on three measurement,power spectrum,PLV network distinction and network characteristics respectively.In detail,we mainly consider power spectrum under ? wave,PLV network under ?,?1,?2,?1,?2,?3,?1 and ?2 wave,and network characteristics under ? wave,including clustering coefficient,characteristic path length,global efficiency and local efficiency.The result indicates that,in several electrodes,the power spectrum of expert players is significantly higher than amateur experts.As for PLV network,the distinction is mainly distributed under ?,?1 and ?2 wave.Under ?1,and ?2 frequency bands,the PLV value of expert players is significantly lower than amateur players in frontal area,occipital area and parietal area.Under?1??2??3??1 and ?2 frequency bands,the result all suggests that PLV value between F3 and F8 of expert players is higher than amateur players.With regard to characteristics,average clustering coefficient,global efficiency and local efficiency of expert players of expert players are all lower than amateur players;consistently,characteristic path length of expert players is higher.It suggests that those expert players of action video game perform significant enhanced cognitive function in attention,hand-eye coordination and executive control.The result inspires that action video game may generate positive effect in the field of cognitive training,brain function therapy and brain plasticity mechanism.
