A Report On The Translation Of Analytics For The Internet Of Things(IoT)(Chapter 5 And Chapter 6)

This is a translation report of which the source text is selected from the fifth and sixth chapter of the book Analytics for the Internet of Things(IoT).The book mainly describes the Internet of Things as well as the IoT-related technology.The chapters the writer chose mainly focus on the big data technology and its application to the storage of data collected from IoT devices.This report is divided into five parts.The first part mainly illustrates the background and significance of this translation project.The second part is the analysis of the source text,including the contents,the writing style and the language features.In addition,the description of the translation theory Skopos theory is included in the third part.The fourth part mainly focus on the translation difficulties and the corresponding translation methods.The last part is the lessons the writer has learnt from this translation project and the writer’s introspection.
