Altruistic behavior,as one of the important behaviors in the process of individual socialization,has been concerned by researchers all the time.With the spread of the Internet use,altruistic behavior has been extended into cyberspace.As a generation grows with Internet,"After 95s" college students are the most important group of Internet use.They are also in the crucial period of forming the outlook on life and the values.Therefore,it is meaningful to explore Internet altruistic behavior of college students for higher education and growth of college students.The purpose of this research was to discuss the relationship between the altruistic behavior of college students and their self-esteem and parents’ parenting style.This research used the Rosenberg self-esteem scale,parenting styles scale(EMBU)and the college students’ Internet altruistic behavior scale to conduct questionnaire survey on the selected full-time "after 95s" college students from two universities.We deeply explored the relations among college students’ altruistic behavior,self-esteem and parenting styles based on their present situation and characteristics.We further examined the mediating role of self-esteem and the moderating role of parenting styles.The research results were as below:1.There was a significant positive correlation between the Internet altruistic behavior of college students and factors of parenting styles.2.There was a significant positive predicting role for Self-esteem to Internet altruistic behavior,and played a partial mediating role between the Internet altruistic behavior and warm understanding factor of parenting styles.3.The interaction effect had been found between self-esteem of Internet altruistic behavior and the punishment factor of parenting styles.Self-esteem level of college students had more evident effect on their Internet altruistic behavior if they had a low punishment from parents.
