A Research Of Lao Tzu's Thoughts Of Governance

Taoist governance thought is an important part of Chinese traditional governance thought,and the governance ideology of Taoism is represented by Lao Tzu's governance thought.This article takes Laozi's governance thought as the main research object,and studies its governance,governance methods and governance effects.At the same time,it tries to analyze the modern value of Lao Tzu's governance thought.Lao Tzu's governance thought is inseparable from his whole ideological system.Lao Tzu put "Tao" through his whole system,and took "Tao" as the core and the highest category of his whole ideological system.Therefore,to grasp Lao Zi's thought of governance should start from the thought of Lao Tzu's "Tao".In the view of Lao Tzu,Tao is the original of all things,the Tao produces all things,and all things will eventually return to the Tao;although the Tao gives birth to all things,it is natural and inactive to all things in essence."Tao is the way of all things in the universe.It is the rule that all things must be observed in the universe.Therefore,Tao is the ideal way to govern the country at the political level;from the height of the Tao,the law of benevolence and righteousness and the law of benevolence and righteousness endanger the world.In a word,Laozi regards Tao as the basis of his governing thought.Lao Tzu takes the sage as the main body of its governance.That is to say,Lao Tzu expresses his governance by the rule of saints.Lao Tzu believes that the saint is a practitioner of the Tao,the executor of the rule of no action,the holder of the private,the lust,the quiet,and the inaction.Therefore,in Laozi's view,the rule of sage is the ideal way to govern the country.Lao Tzu believed that good governance effect is reflected in the relationship between country and country,the great powers are quiet and do not use the army wantonly,so the big country and the small country can each take their own;the state of the state is presented as "small country and widowed",the folk style is simple,the Li people are contented;the saints are inactive,quiet,incapable and undesirable.It is self-positive,self-rich and self-simple.Lao Tzu's thought of governance has its modern value.Laozi's natural inaction and compliance with nature are of modern value.
