Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes Canopy Pattern Decoration Research

This article demonstrates points of view and conclusions based on "Research on canopy pattern decoration of Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang".This article discusses this issue from the characteristics of canopy patterns during the Northern and Southern Dynasties,the Sui and Tang Dynasties,and the Song and Yan Dynasties.In accordance with the chronological context,we conducted in-depth exploration and research on the Chinese canopy patterns,and analyzed and summariz ed different appearances of canopy patterns in each historical period.With the proposal of "One Belt and One Road"cooperation initiative,Dunhuang as a cultural cluster point of the Silk Road,has once again become an important hub for the integtration of Eastern and Western civilizations and mutual recognition.It will surely regain its glory.This provided the most favorable opportunity for me to study the canopy patterns of Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang.Dunhuang canopy pattern art,which witnessed millennia passing by,is just like the aesthetic history of a countey.In thousands of years,it left behind a dazzling array of decorative patterns.As the ingenuity of countless artists and craftsmen of all ages,it has attracted countless people into caves admiring and absorbing its artistic nutrients and has beautified our social life in the long river of art that has been running for thousands of years.
