Research On The Pattern Of Curly Grass In Dunhuang Frescoes

Dunhuang decorative patterns is an important part in Dunhuang art research.As one of the most representative decorative patterns in Dunhuang,the curly grass pattern has great research value.This paper takes the pattern of curly grass in Dunhuang fresco as the research object.First of all,through comprehensive data collection and sorting,finding the origin of curly grass pattern,and summarized it’s development and evolution process and the main artistic characteristics in different periods in Dunhuang fresco.Secondly,through field research and literature analysis,collect typical Dunhuang curly grass patterns,conduct specific types of analysis on the curly grass patterns from the perspectives of subject matter,content and structure,and deeply explore the creation methods and rules of its shape,color and other aspects.After that,the decorative parts of the pattern in Dunhuang grottoes are summarized,and the main decorative functions and characteristics of the pattern are summarized,and the decorative beauty reflected by the pattern in Dunhuang grottoes is explored from the perspective of formal beauty rules.Finally,combining theory with practice,the Dunhuang curly grass pattern as the main design elements,combined with the culture of The Times and modern aesthetic innovation design.Based on the systematic study of Dunhuang curly grass pattern appearance,in the process of continuously learn the creation rules of Dunhuang decorative pattern and technique of expression,based on the theory and research results to carry on the design practice,to broaden the traditional decorative patterns in modern design the application scope,the inheritance and development of Dunhuang art and culture,and other outstanding traditional culture at the same time,provide new development ideas for modern design.
