| Interpretation theory of dictionary in combination with bilingualized dictionary,researching commentaries on the laws of bilingualized dictionary is the most important research subject in academia.English-Chinese Dictionary(2011)by foreign language press is a reference book for English beginners of primary and high stage.The research object of this article is 901 univocal adjectives in English-Chinese Dictionary,according to Vinay and Darbelnet’s Classic Formula,one by one analysis the univocal adjectives in the dictionary fall into Formulas——borrowing、calque/literal translation,transposition,modulation and equivalence.Conclusion and sublimation the translational formula.Think about the laws of definition it reflects.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the explaination of translational formula,and introduction of the English-Chinese Dictionary illustrates the research objects and research methods.The second chapter is direct translation,according to Vinay and Darbelnet’s Classic Formula.it can divided into three types:borrowing,calque and literal translation.Literal translation can also classify three types:words-interpretation,phrases-interpretation and sentence-interpretation.Among them contextual phrases divide into coordinate construction,subordinate phrase,subject-predicate phrase,and verb or adjective compliment phrase and so on according to Chinese traditional grammar structure type.The third chapter is oblique translation.According to Vinay and Darbelnet’s Classic Formula as well,it fall into transposition,modulationand equivalence.The modulation can fall into four types:abstract-translate concrete,active-translate-passive,translate-reverse-side and adding or omit.It reflects the characteristics of the conversion in English and Chinese languages and the difference between cognitive and perspective of semantic expression.The last chapter is conclusion and deep thinking of the whole text.In conclusion,the article apply to the existing translation theory Vinay and arbelnet’s Classic Formula analysis concretely on translational formula of univocal adjectives in English-Chinese Dictionary(2011)by foreign language press.Conclusion and sublimation the translational formula of univocal adjectives based on the principles of scientific and systemic,by inclusion method,and on the study of the closure and exhaustiveness.A new type of translation theory which is generated and contained the Chinese traditional and the integration of western scientific method will be existed. |
