This report deals with my English-to-Chinese translation of Chapter 1,2 and 3 of Women,Dance and Revolution. It consists of five parts.Firstly it takes an introduction of this translation task, then presents the translation process including four procedures:pre-translation,while translation, after translation and quality control.Afterwards, based on Zhou Lingshun's theory of translator's behavior analysis,it focuses on my translation from three respects:being "realistic" and "pragmatic",translator's subjectivity and the process of characterizing.Besides,it also explores English and Chinese's features by presenting the translator's confusions, techniques, solutions and other reflections in translating.Last but not the least,a conclusion has been made. The translator need to produce a translation with precise wording, idiomatic fluency, and similar writing style with the original text, which demands not only a high level of linguistic competence but also an acknowledgment of self's translator behavior characteristics and their influence through reflection and experience.
