The Relationship Between Chinese Modern Industry And Overseas

At present,the theme of international research has changed from the European Industrial Revolution to its effect on other regions,including its impact on China.In recent years,the academic field has carried out research on the impact of western world on Chinese modern industry and has gained many achievements.From the perspective of cross-cultural communication history related to industrial heritage,this paper concludes the influences on China which are brought by European Industrial Revolution,especially French Industrial Revolution.It also explores the historical value of Foochow Arsenal.This paper mainly carries out a research on the communication history in China’s modernization.From the perspective of cross-cultural exchange history related to industrial heritage,it sums up the impact of European industrial revolution to our country and explores the relationship between Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau and France.The author found French information on the development of Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau in French archives and libraries during the period when I acted as an exchange student in France,which recorded complete historical events in detail with a high reference value,but not published at home.This paper takes this information as main reference,compared with Chinese and foreign literatures that have ever been published in China as well as research results of scholars that describe and analyze some hot issues.First of all,it analyzes the influence of Western powers on the pre-,medium-and post-period of the Westernization Movement,sums up the industrial characteristics of foreign capital in China,and analyzes the profit-making characteristics and methods of western powers through the development of Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau.The paper compares Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau with domestic public literatures,summarizing the basic situation of Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau ’s functional layout and navigational administration school;It focuses on the purchase of equipment and the introduction of new technologies on the manufacture of headchute,slipway,hull and turbine;new personnel training of shipbuilding engineers,apprenticeship workers that can be engaged in independent production and navigators.Moreover,it analyzes the operation mode of Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau and puts forward its advantages and disadvantages in personnel training and production mode.Second,the paper reveals the purpose and detailed plans that France helps to rectify Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau through the telegrams of French officials at the time,letters and contracts between French and Chinese officials,etc.Depth analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of both sides is carried out for the process of rectification.Finally,it mentions the important roles played by two French diplomats in signing the Treaty of Huangpu and striving for China’s railway construction rights,discusses from the military point of view and expounds the protection and premise of France’s modern industry in China.This paper is divided into four parts according to the above-mentioned context,namely the relationship between China’s modern industry and overseas,the technical achievements of Sino-French joint venture Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau,the plan and purpose that France helps to rectify Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau,and the relationship between France and modern Chinese industry.Based on the literature research method,the author collects archives on the spot,puts file in order and generalizes translation literatures.And then it supplements the research of previous scholars and perfects the historical information of the cross-cultural exchange of Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau.
