With the development trend of popularization and younger ages of Teaching Chinese as A Second Language(TCSL)in Korean,the demand for TCSL volunteer teachers in Korean primary and secondary schools increased year by year.The author,as a member of TCSL group,served as a TCSL volunteer teacher for 2 years in Songpa Middle School,Seoul respectively from March 2014 to January 2015 and from March 2016 to January 2017.In first year of teaching,there were unexpected events with specificity and universality,contingency and inevitability encountered by the author.Such unexpected events occurred in the teaching context of TCSL in Korean middle schools and their practice forms are unexpected.They appeared complicatedly,diversely and suddenly in classroom,requiring teachers'quick response to solve.In this paper,"CPIK" TCSL volunteer teachers in 2014 and 2016 were enrolled as research subjects,through methods of preliminary interview,questionnaire,and selective revisit based on questionnaire results,a lot of classroom cases about unexpected events were collected.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part is introduction.This part puts forward the research topic of this paper,elaborates the theoretical sense of unexpected events in Korean TCSL practices as well as the research status of related case studies and TCSL in classroom of Korean middle schools,and lists the objective,significance and method of this paper.Through a deep analysis on descriptions of domestic scholars on unexpected events,this paper defines the concept of unexpected events in combination with the specific research contents.The second part analyzes the causes and types of unexpected events in TCSL classroom of Korean middle schools.Through analysis and sorting of unexpected events cases,this paper analyzes the cause of the occurrence of each type of unexpected events from perspectives of four elements,i.e.teachers,students,teaching materials and environment.The third part mainly focuses on three manifestation forms of TCSL teachers'responses for knowledge type,culture type,classroom management type of unexpected events based on teaching cases,these forms are controllable response,semi-controllable response,uncontrollable response.The fourth part puts forward individual strategies of teachers to deal with unexpected events:perfect preparation strategy,witty site response strategy and compound reflection strategy;in addition,the author proposes to carry out training for unexpected events response and to build a case database relying on TCSL volunteer management platform.
