As one of the main Opera of Zhuang Nationality,Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama has the same origin as Shi Gong Drama.Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama derived from the song-dance of Shi Gong in the activities of Nuo.Its traditional plays,music and performances have the shadows of Shi Gong's activities.It originated in Qing Dynasty.Up to date,it becomes an unique folk drama and can perform in all kinds of themes.As one of the two biggest Operas of Zhuang Nationality,Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama is still active in the local Folk Festivals.In addition,Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama is the most popular artistic form of Zhuang's people in the central region of Guangxi province.It has been listed in the First Autonomous Region Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Safeguarding in 2007.What's more,Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama has important value on scholarism and utilization.Under the background of Chinese opera's development,The author tried to investigate the music of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama by chosing representative areas which are Wu Shan Town and He Shan in Laibin district.It has made up the shortfall of the music studying for Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama.Through the investigation and record of the Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama and folk activities in Laibin region,the author made conclusions about musical characteristic,musical capability,preserved status and social status of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama.The author put the traditional opera into the cultural system,which is belongs to,for thinking and investigation.Furthermore,the author studied the relationship between the music and whole cultural system of Zhuang's Nationality.Hopping to promote this drama have a healthy development.This paper has been divided into 5 chapters.The first chapter has demonstrated and elucidated for the original history,development,environment and cultural contest at a macro level.What's more,the author has summarized the interrelation between Nuo Drama,Shi Gong Drama and Folk religion of Zhuang Nationality.In the second chapter,the author has described and summarized for the opera art form of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama,such as music,peformance,dance stage design,the custom of performance and play-script of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama.In the third chapter,the author has sorted out the development of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama in Laibin district.The development history can be divided into 4 phases.The author also investigated the present situation of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama which is in Wu Shan Town and Heshan.In the forth chapter,the author has made an analysis and investigation for the music style of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama.The author made classification,notation and detail analysis for the music of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama which include vocal music,the names of the tunes,mode and tonality,rhythm meter,libretto rhythm and accompaniment musical instrument.Furthermore,the author has concluded the difference of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama between the Wu Shan Town and Heshan.In the fifth Chapter,the factor which influenced the music of Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama's inherit and development have been deeply analyzed.Those factors are methods of inheritance,ancestry of inheritance,development and build oftroupe and so on.Moreover,the author has investigated the hold up and change of this drama in modern society from the functionality of the music and Zhuang's Shi Gong Drama.Furthermore,the author elaborated the development prospect,innovation of inheritance,cultural development etc.The principles and methods to protect this Drama have been proposed and discussed accordingly.
