Study On The Protection And Utilization Values Of The Heritage Of Historical And Cultural Towns In China

The number of historical and cultural villages and towns in China is rich,with distinctive regional characteristics and valuable historical and cultural values,and the research value is extremely high.Among them,the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River have a relatively high level of development.They have entered the Tentative List of World Cultural Heritage of China,and the application for World Heritage has entered a critical period.The research objects selected in this thesis refer to the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River that have entered the World Heritage Tentative List,including a total of 14 ancient towns in South of Jiangsu and north of Zhejiang.The Ancient Waterfront Towns have extremely rich cultural connotations.They also have multiple identities such as Historical and Cultural Towns of China,Tourist Scenic spots,and ancient towns.The research system is very extensive.It mainly involves History,Culture,Architecture and Tourism and other disciplines.This thesis selects the subject of Heritage as an entry point,and uses the opportunity of that the application for World Heritage has entered a critical period.It attempts to emphasize the identity of the cultural heritage sites of the towns,and uses the protection and utilization of heritage values as the main research objective to conduct related research,and makes suggestions on the protection,utilization and application for World Heritage of the ancient towns.First of all,the thesis analyzes the basic situation of Historical and Cultural Towns of China and the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River,including the explanation of related concepts and the sorting of the protection process.Secondly,it analyzes the cultural heritage resources,protection status and threat factors by taking the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River as the study case.The results show that the number and type of cultural heritage resources in the Towns are extremely rich,and the overall heritage level is at a relatively high level.Thirdly,from the perspective of cultural heritage,combining the Tentative List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage selection criteria of the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River and the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage selection criteria of the existing ancient town-type world heritage,it can be concluded that the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River are rich in cultural values.Both richness and universality have reached the world level and they have a strong ability to apply for the World heritage.Finally,a value evaluation system for the sustainable use of the cultural heritage resources of the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River are constructed based on the comprehensive considerations of field visits and online questionnaires.The value of resource utilization in different ways was determined by quantitative assessment methods.At the grade level,four indicators were scored on their resource conditions,economic development conditions,surrounding environmental quality and social participation.The evaluation results show that the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River have superior heritage resources,high economic development value and high social use value,relatively low ecological environment value,and comprehensively draws that the value of the sustainable use of cultural heritage resources in the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River is relatively high.In addition,based on the results of the comparison and evaluation of values,proposals are made on how to scientifically and reasonably carry out the application for World Heritage and sustainable use of resources.Through the above macro recognition of the cultural heritage value of the Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River,the cultural heritage identity of it is highlighted.
