In recent years,with the further development of economic globalization,increasing international communication and cooperation,the role of English is becoming more and more prominent,and the state and society have raised higher requirements for college students’ English proficiency.However,the present situation of English teaching is worrying in domestic colleges and universities.MOOC(Massive Online Open Course)as the product of information technology and higher education,with the advantages of massive,free,online,big data technology and is not subject to the constraints of time and spaces.MOOC has quickly become a hotspot in research of education,more in line with the characteristics of fragmented learning and mobile learning in network era."Flipped classroom",as a kind of innovation of teaching methods,to reverse the traditional process of teaching in the class.The teaching method is more flexible and interesting and helpful to the personalized teaching.Advanced English listening and speaking is aimed to improve the students’ English listening and speaking skills.It is a public course offered by Tianjin University.Based on the advantages of excellent MOOC video resources,advanced teaching idea and the “flipped classroom” teaching advantages,this course applies blended teaching to the course of Advanced English listening and speaking.It tries to create a new paradigm of English teaching on the basis of MOOC video resources to solve the problems existed in the traditional classrooms,improve the students’ English listening and speaking ability and provide a personalized English learning method for college students.The study mainly include:The first chapter introduces the research background,clarifies the research questions and make clear the value of the research on the basis of reviewing the domestic and foreign document achievements.The second chapter defines the core concepts and determines the theoretical foundation of the study.The third chapter carries on preliminary investigation on personalized learning.According to the research results,I set the learning goal,choose the course resources,learning styles and communication platform and design the teaching process.In order to realize personalized learning in English,MOOC resources are combined with“flipped classroom” to implement blended teaching.The fourth chapter is about carrying out personalized learning in the course of Advanced English listening and speaking based on the teaching design.The steps include determining the experimental class,conducting teaching experiments,utilizing the questionnaire research method and interview,observation and other quantitative research methods to verify the effects.The fifth chapter draws the conclusion based on the implementation effects,summarizes the sufficiency and puts forward the improvement countermeasures.
