In this paper, the left-wing novels in 1930 s are studied with the help of Liu Xiaofeng’s narrative ethics research, aiming to analyze the complex relationship between body and revolution.Based on close reading of the text, from the perspective of narrative ethics, the left-wing novel’s body writing is discussed to reveal the conflict of the freedom ethics and the people ethics hidden behind body writing. In this paper, the novels of Mao Dun,Ding Ling,Jiang Guangci are chosen as the main interpretative objects. And the other writers and works are also mentioned. From the discussion of the body writing of left-wing writers’ works, the author analyzes the mental status of the revolutionary intellectuals and the ethical conflicts behind them. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first chapter focuses on the struggle of the intellectuals during the revolution period in the left-wing writers’ novels, that is,the conflict between the individual’s own physical desire and revolution, which including the conflict between individual interests and the revolution, the conflict between sex desire and the revolution, and the conflict between female desire and the revolution. In the second chapter, the author analyzes how the left-wing writers deal with the contradiction between the desire and the revolutionary reality. The writers complete the “constrction of revolutionary body” gradually through rebuking the individual interests, the repression and transformation of sexual desire, disciplining the desire of female desire,as well as the symbolic writings of disease and death writing. The third chapter is the reflection of “the construction of revolutionary body” from the perspective of people’s Ethics.Firstly, the historical formation process of the body view of the left-wing novel in the 1930 s is reviewed. Then the internal paradox of “revolutionary body” is illustrated from three aspects: the denial of human subjectivity, the castration of sex and the alienation of women.
