As a world cultural heritage,the Great Wall has skyscraping histotical,scientific and artistic value.It is the creation of long-term practice in remaking nature and transforming society and witnesses the track of historical development of Chinese Nation,which reflects on the aspects of politics,economy,military and culture in chinese ancient society.However,these sites suffer various natural and man-made destruction in the long historical period and the conservation is in a great grim situation.In recent years,reinforcement project of the cultural relics and scientific research are in an orderly progression under the joint efforts of national and local units at all levels of the protection of culture relics.But there is little research on the construction technology research of cultural relics protection project have been published.In view of these reasons,this study summarized and analyzed some important construction technologies about the engineering of protection and reinforcement of cultural relics of the Great Wall of Jia Yuguan in arid areas of Norwest China,such as surface weathering reinforcement,the Ratio of clay to tamp about the position of wind erosion tunneling on the wall and the tamping construction technology,Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic(GFRP)bolt anchorage construction measures,combining with the experience on engineering practice of cultural relics protection and the scientific research of the writer.Based on some reinforcement engineering examples,different construction solutions and technologies are compared and validated and the issues which would appear during the construction process are discussed.And the construction process has been discussed and studied from the security,economy,repair effect,reversibility,etc.This paper comes to the following conclusions through the research:(1)The reinforce and construction craft of surface weathering proof have formed a relatively mature technology through continuous improvement and perfection.But because of the actual situation,the construction process should still have a good engineering test in the early stage and take targeted solutions for specific project.(2)According to the site ontology which is local suspended instability,local undercutting backoff and the upper weight relatively much larger with the local inclined or the inclined trend,the rammed earth and repair construction technology can achieve a greater protective effect.The technology has a simple construction and operation process which is economic and reasonable.In addition,the repair technology is reversible,therefore it is applicable to the protection of cultural relics.(3)The issues on the GFRP bolt anchorage characteristics and mechanism are discussed tentatively and put forward a set of simple construction process on GFRP bolt anchorage to get the most out of this kind of material reinforcement effect.
