| Taking the school adjustment of the migrant children as the subject, this research reveals the phenomena of children’s perception of discrimination, resilienceas well as the school adjustment and explores the influence of both perception of discrimination and resilience on the school adjustment in order to reduce children’s perception of discrimination, increase resilience levels and provide effective instructions for the migrant Children on the school adjustment.By using three scales---Individual Discrimination Perception Scale authorized by Liu Xia and Shen Jiliang,Self ResilienceScale written by Block and Kreman and Middle School Adjustment Scale revised by Lin Wencong, and applying methods of T-test,correlation and structural equation, this research tests 618 migrant children explores the relationship among perception of discrimination, resilience and school adjustment so as to discover the influence of both perception of discrimination and resilience on the migrant children’s school adjustment. The research reveals:1.Migrant children’s perception of discrimination is below the average levels, and there is no significant difference in gender and grade while there are significant differences in flow length. The highest children’s perception of discrimination happens in the first year.2.Resilience of the migrant children is good, and the difference only exists in the grade but not in gender and flow time.3.Migrant children’s school adjustment is above the average level. There is a significant difference in grade in every dimension.,among which there are significant grade differences in terms of appropriate behaviour and peer relations while in the light of the flow time, there are significant differences only in peer relationship and teacher-student relationship.4.There is relativity among migrant children’s perception of discrimination, resilience as well as the school adjustment.Perception of discrimination has a significant negative correlation both with resilience and the school adjustment as well as every dimensions. However, there is a significant positive correlation between resilience and the school adjustment.5.Perception of discrimination and resilience can be used to predict the school adjustment.6.Resilience plays a partial intermediary role between and school adjustment, which reveals that school adjustment can be influenced not only by perception of discrimination but also by the intervening variable resilience. |
