Research On The Application Of Gestalt In Chinese Charater Design

Through the study of the introduction of "Gestalt" in the practice of Chinese characters design,this paper analyzes the relationship between the visual perception preferences and the Gestalt features of Chinese characters' configuration,finds out the potential rules in the form of Chinese characters design from the perspective of Scientific Psychology by using a cross-disciplinary research methods,which in order to broaden the creative thinking of Chinese characters design.It is worth noting that the core of the "Gestalt" theory starts from the observation of the phenomenon of visual perception,analyzes the visual preference of human beings and researches the interaction activities between eyes and brain,which has a far-reaching influence on visual communication design.This paper first reinterprets the understanding of "Vision",then builds a relation between visual perception and the creative thinking of Chinese characters design based on the analysis.By appropriately combining the characteristic configuration of Chinese characters with Gestalt's research of "Gestalt",this paper draws out the six kinds of expression and configuration methods of the "Gestalt" principles about designing Chinese characters,and tries to use these methods to create and get amazing practical effect.In addition,the "Gestalt" theory of the source is described and the "Gestalt" theory introduces other disciplines carried out a basic exposition.Then,this paper based on the Chinese characters in the design of "Gestalt" thought,which inspired by the Chinese character recognition on the "Gestalt" feature and review the Chinese characters configuration from the angle of "Gestalt" at the Chinese character design.Furthermore,This paper tries to see the evolution and development of Chinese characters design from the perspective of "Gestalt".Using “wrongly written or mispronounced characters” in Chinese calligraphy as a guide to build a underlying timeline to find the Chinese characters design and "Gestalt" potential links and rules.This paper explores the "Gestalt" in Chinese characters configuration and sorts out the relationship between Chinese characters' structure and "Gestalt",along with the basic constitution system of Chinese characters.Combined with the latest Chinese characters design cases,this paper sums up six creative expression methods in designing Chinese characters according to the "Gestalt" thinking.It combines with the graduation project"Me Me Mirror” which is about Chinese characters logo design and carries out the design practice which inspired by the "Gestalt" thought Eventually,the main conclusions and prospects are described,the 62 graphs are showed and 57 references are attached at the end as well.
